The triangle has been since early civilizations, the symbol of the trilogy or the triad that makes all existence possible. It has been interpreted as:

* The father, the mother and the son
* The Father the Son and the Holy Spirit
* The male, the female and the creative power
* The sky, the earth and the living creatures
* The union of two that creates the third
* The perfect union when two become one
* The prayer elevated from all Earth to the one God
* The power of the One to become All
* Each moment of Life where you can take two decisions or ways

In tassology the Triangle is interpreted as unusual creativity or talent.
-pointing up Success
-pointing down Failure

To me, mine is pointing UP ;-)

It also symbolizes the union of the letter V and the letter I. Ivo's & I initials. He has one as well, the only difference is mine is the outline of an equilateral triangle & his is an isosceles tilted to the side, like a "Play" sign.

WHAT I DO TO MYSELF

I just finished reading a Hatful of Seuss because it was all I could come up with doing (plus, the book is yellow & lately I'm processing things instinctively by colors) while having a major flip out, which isn't something I should talk about here. But I gotta say I fucking hate Dr.Seuss and by being so -no word available- today, I read it and actually liked it. Specially the first story; Bartholomew & The Oobleck.

"Maybe there was something magic in those simple words, "I'm sorry."
Maybe there was something magic in those simple words, "It's all my fault."
Maybe there was, and maybe there wasn't. But they say that as soon as the old King spoke them, the sun began to shine and fight its way through the storm. They say that the falling oobleck blobs grew smaller and smaller and smaller.
They say that all the oobleck that was stuck on all the people and on all the animals of the Kingdom of Didd just simply, quietly melted away."

Hmm YA ME CREEIA LA UNICA

Well, love is insanity. The ancient Greeks knew that. It is the taking over of a rational and lucid mind by delusion and self-destruction. You lose yourself, you have no power over yourself, you can’t even think straight." -Marilyn French

Yup, that's right. YESSTYLE.com is selling a Rubix cube handbag just like the one in Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Fall 2008 collection. How delightful.

TATTY DEVINE

Little birthday gift I got for myself from the lovely Tatty Devine boutique. $60.00, well worth it. Now to wait about three weeks (God forbid more) for the lovely package to come in the mail. I also need to get their moustache necklace, ring, &&& volume brooches. To whine for.

Oh! I must thank them for their lovely service in fixing a little problem I encountered while placing my order (apparently, they weren't shipping to PR) just one small email & they solved it all :)

Law of Undulation

The Law of Undulation, an idea presented by C.S. Lewis in his book The Screwtape Letters: "Their nearest approach to constancy, therefore, is undulation - the repeated return to a level from which they repeatedly fall back."

He argues that humans are constantly going through many different cycles. These cycles exist in our relationships, our interests, and our efficiency at work. In addition, these cycles are experienced in one's relationship with God.

From personal experience this has shown to hold great wisdom, for it explains why when humans want to grow closer to God in their relationship with Him, they repeatedly fall back. This is due to our sinful nature: While we desire to do His will, we cannot. Paul describes this perfectly in Romans 7:15:
"I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do."
This causes much frustration in the Christian walk, because although we have the desire to grow closer to God, we are doomed to repeatedly fall back from Him.

HISTORY OF EROTICA

printed 1798 in Paris
Agostino Carracci

Edward Mordrake

(sometimes written Edward Mordake) is claimed to be a 19th century heir to one of the peerages in England who had a extra face on the back of his head. According to the story, the extra face could neither eat nor speak, but it could laugh and cry. Edward begged doctors to have his ‘devil twin’ removed, because, supposedly, it whispered horrible things to him at night. but no doctor would attempt it. He committed suicide at the age of 23.

Did you hear the news about Edward?
On the back of his head he had another face
Was it a woman’s face or a young girl?
They said to remove it would kill him
So poor Edward was doomed

The face could laugh and cry
It was his devil twin
And at night she spoke to him
Things heard only in hell
But they were impossible to separate
Chained together for life

Finally the bell tolled his doom
He took a suite of rooms
And hung himself and her from the balcony irons
Some still believe he was freed from her
But I knew her too well
I say she drove him to suicide
And took poor Edward to hell

WOW

In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan, armed with a reel-to-reel tape deck, snuck into John Lennon’s hotel room in Toronto and convinced John to do an interview about peace. 38 years later, Jerry has produced a film about it and it is AWESOME.

LAST NIGHT, I DREAMT I DIED

What can one do? Go home, love your children, try not to bicker, eat well, walk in the rain, feel the sun on your face and laugh loud and often, as much as possible, and especially at yourself. Because the only antidote to death is not poetry, or drama, or miracle drugs, or a roomful of technical expertise and good intentions. The antidote to death is life.
